Here I am, back in the Caspian Sea. Petronas is having another round of exploration here in Turkmenistan, a bigger & longer campaign. The rig is Trident-20, a Transocean Sedco Forex jackup rig. It's a new rig, built in year 2000 by Keppel FELS. It's bigger than any jackup rig I've been on, and inside the size really shows. 2 person to a room, attached shower & toilet, offices galore on the top deck (oh by the way, 5 floors), 2 mini theaters, a well stocked gym, one galley, but almost like a restaurant and many more amenities, more substantial than any other rigs I hae worked on.
